A Bite of Pumpkin for Thought

By now most pumpkin growers have heard the rumble of the motors on our PMR Series Pumpkins. Mustang PMR and Camaro PMR had a standout year for a grower in Nebraska. When discussing these two pumpkins the grower had to say the following:

“The pumpkins were very uniform and perfect size for carving. They stored well, too. They were picked at least 30 days in advance of Halloween and sold to friends and neighbors. Not one report of a rotten pumpkin.”

This statement is a testament to the high quality of fruit that these varieties produce in addition to powdery mildew resistance that these pumpkins have.

The grower has also had great experience in growing New Moon. Saying that, “New Moon is a winner in my book. (New Moon) attracts lots of attention and easy to sell.” In “our 2010 harvest…(New Moon) was over 100 lbs. when picked.”

With pumpkins that are perfect for carving, extremely uniform in shape, have long storing abilities and are easy to sell it seems odd to not have Hollar Seeds pumpkins in your patch this year.
