Viking is an early double stripe Crimson Sweet hybrid maturing in approximately 80 days. Strong vines support a concentrated set of uniform round-oval fruit that average 7.7 kilos. The fruit are smooth, glossy and fade resistant.
The flesh is deep red, sweet and fine textured. The distinctive rind pattern, a narrow dark green stripe over a wider medium green stripe, provides an identifying mark of quality for the consumer. Viking is resistant to both Fusarium and Anthracnose and is the very best choice for the early market.
