Matador

Matador is a mid-season Peacock hybrid with excellent flesh quality that is highly adapted to desert climates. Eighty Seven days to maturity in our trials, Matador produces an elongated melon weighing 20 – 22 lbs. Vigorous, high yielding vines produce fruit with a beautiful internal appearance, red, sweet flesh and medium sized black seeds. The external rind is dark green, with no stripes – giving the melon a fresher appearance in storage as a result.
