Otero

Otero is a very popular main-season melon bred for highly uniform production and long-distance shipping. Produces a bit larger melon than other varieties in the same category, measuring 18 x 16 cm. Small seed cavity usually has a very small airspace, good flesh thickness and firmness. Excellent productivity. Compare to Durango or Mission. Otero is a western shipper that has sold well in Mexico and in the tropics.
