Tamara
Tamara is a high quality Ananas type melon. Weight per fruit in Colorado is 7 pounds (3.2 kg) versus 6.8 pounds (3.1 kg) for Joyce. The yield is higher due to more fruit per plant. Harvest begins four days later than for Joyce, giving Tamara better shelf life. Resistant to Fusarium races 0, 1, and 2, and to Powdery mildew races 1 and 2 means it will be widely adapted.
